Dorothy Dimsdale “Dot” Morris, 74 from Columbus N.C. passed away Oct. 17, 2014.

She was born July 1, 1940. She was the daughter of the late McClure Whitaker and Beatrice Deadman. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

She had six brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by siblings, Weldon Dimsdale, Juanita Deadman. Surviving brothers and sisters include Jeanette Conner, Faye Ravan, Mac Dimsdale amd Gene Dimsdale; seven children, David Dimsdale, Tammy Randall, Glenna Chennery, Denise Sluder, Beth Fowler, Cindy Ellenburg, Jennifer Fisher; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, which is located at 500 Fox Mountain Road in Columbus, N.C. Family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice House of the Carolinas Landrum.
