Peter Shanahan passed away at age 64 at his home in Mill Spring, NC, on Apr 16, 2024. A native of Long Island, he had resided in NC since 1992.

A graduate of William and Mary, Peter went on to achieve professional certifications in Financial Planning (CFP, MPAS) and was a member of MENSA. Peter demonstrated leadership in the financial planning industry in a career that spanned over 35 years.

He was active in his community as a Deacon in his church, as a supporter of local theater, and in the Equestrian community.

He is survived by his wife Martha; his daughters Elizabeth, Emily and Catherine; and by his grand-daughter Ella.
