Rose Adelle Peterson, 88, of Landrum, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at her home.

Born in Red Lake, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lawrence and Mary Evelyn “Stella” Spears Lawrence and widow of Raymond Peterson.

Surviving are one son, Ronald Peterson of Landrum; one daughter, Judy Hook of Melbourne, Fla.; one sister, Evie Lawrence of Bemidji, Minn.; one brother, Jim Lawrence of Bemidji, Minn.; two step-brothers, Buster Smith of Bemidji, Minn. and Robbie Smith of Anoka, Minn.; four grandchildren, Joshua Peterson of Landrum, Joseph Peterson of Athens, Ga., Nikki Hook of Melbourne, Fla. and Stephanie Hughes of St. Augustine, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Sonja Peterson of Athens, Ga. and Ethan Hughes of St. Augustine, Fla.. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Bill Lawrence.

A private memorial service will be held.
