Born August 2, 1918, in Sun, W.Va., he was the son of the late Paul and Marcyanna Wilkosz and the husband of 59 years to the late Elizabeth &dquo;Lib&dquo; D. Wilkosz. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Technical Sergeant and received several medals prior to being wounded, including the Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars. He was a tool and dye inspector and retired from Powder-Craft Corporation. He was a member of the DAV and Second Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda W. Fowler of Boiling Springs, S.C., and Joyce W. Finch of Campobello; two sisters, Helen Manning and Cecelia Kosienski, and a brother, Frank Wilkosz, all of Erie, Pa.; a granddaughter; a grandson; and four great-grandsons. He was predeceased by two brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Steven H. Rhodes.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Linda Fowler, 218 Arrowhead Drive, Boiling Springs.
