Polk County District Court results–January 3/January 10

In Polk County District Court on January 3, with Judge Lora Baker presiding, 138 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.     

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Mary Oates Brown was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served.

Chad Ryan Burmeister was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Burmeister was fined $10 plus court costs. 

Kamarion Flythe was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ of oz. Flythe was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served.

James Avery Mott was convicted of  unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Mott was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served. 

Brittany Anne Ruehle was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Ruehle was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served.  

John Caleb Russell was convicted of driving while impaired. Russell was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation

Desiree Renee Shehan was convicted of second degree trespassing. Shehan was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served. 

Frederic Eugene Smith was convicted of failure to stop for a stopped school bus. Smith was fined $25 plus court costs.  

Simon Hector Ziegler was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Ziegler was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day active time served.  

In Polk County District Court on January 10, with Judge Gene Johnson presiding, 85 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.     

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

April Vera Lane was convicted of hit and run/property damage. Lane was fined $10 plus court costs. 

Amber Coltman Morgan was convicted of reckless driving. Morgan was fined $30 plus court costs. 

Christian Odell was convicted of driving white impaired. Odell was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Odell was also fined $100 plus court costs.

Jimmy Dwayen Revels was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Revels was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served. 

Brayshun Jake Simpson was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ oz. Simpson was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served. 

Calvin Smith was convicted of felony larceny. Smith was sentenced to 23 days in jail, with 23 days credit time served.
