Polk County District Court results – July 12, 2023

In Polk County District Court on July 12, 2023, with Judge James Marshall presiding, 96 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Megan Elaine Allison was convicted of possession of an open container in a passenger area. Allison was fined $50 plus court costs.

 

James Robert Best was convicted of driving while impaired. Best was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation, must complete 48 hours of community service and a substance abuse assessment and was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Kevin Richard Bourne was convicted of speeding. Bourne was fined $25 plus court costs.

 

Justin Edward Buckner was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Buckner was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Sage Conti was convicted of reckless driving with wanton disregard. Conti was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Zachariah Ray Johnson was convicted of larceny of a motor vehicle and injury to personal property. Johnson was sentenced to 7 to 18 months in jail, with 30 days credit time served, suspended for 24 months of supervised probation. Johnson must also complete a substance abuse and mental health assessment, and pay restitution to Inman Water works.

 

Lenny Garcia Massey was convicted of carrying a concealed gun. Massey was sentenced to 20 days in jail, with 20 days credit time served.

 

Kathleen Mickler was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Mickler was sentenced to 6 to 17 months in jail with 20 days credit time served, suspended for 24 months of supervised probation.

 

Maria Morgan was convicted of larceny of a motor vehicle. Morgan was sentenced to 9 to 20 months in jail with 35 days credit time served, suspended for 24 months of supervised probation. Morgan must also complete a substance abuse and mental health assessment, stay employed and pay $1,000 in restitution to the victim. 

 

Jesse Ray Shelton was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Shelton had 3 days added onto his suspended sentence.

 

Bonnie Lee Weiner was convicted of speeding. Weiner was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Ashley Gordon White was convicted of speeding. White was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Shawn Cora Stoup was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ oz. Stoup was sentenced to 13 days in jail, with 13 days credit time served.
