Polk County District court results – July 5, 2023

In Polk County District Court on July 5, 2023, with Judge James Marshall presiding, 131 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.      

 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Brian Keith Cox was convicted of assault on a female. Cox was sentenced to 38 days in jail with 37 days time served, and was fined jail fees.

 

Laquanda Duncan was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ oz. Duncan was fined 

$300 plus court costs.

 

Jonathon Earl Ford was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Ford was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served, and was fined jail fees and court costs.

 

Chris Jerome Foster was convicted of possession of a schedule 4 controlled substance. Foster was sentenced to 24 hours of community service and must conduct a substance abuse treatment assessment.

 

Nathan Thomas Harrill was convicted of driving without a license. Harrill was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served.

 

Terri Lewis Honeycutt was convicted of simple possession of a schedule 4 controlled substance. Honeycutt was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served, and must pay court costs and jail fees.

 

Malachai Jacobs was convicted of speeding. Jacobs was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Jerrod McCabe was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. McCabe was sentenced to 4 days in jail to be served immediately, with 5 to 15 months in jail suspended under 24 months of supervised probation. McCabe was also fined court costs.

 

Kenneth Nichols was convicted of possession of stolen goods. Nichols was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served, and was fined court costs and jail fees.

 

David Ross Palmer was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ oz. Palmer was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Shelley Sibley was convicted of hit and run leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. Sibley was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served. Sibley was also fined court costs and jail fees. 

 

Amy Marie Smith was convicted of driving without a license. Smith was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served. Smith was also fined court costs and jail fees.

 

Karis Stephenson was convicted of driving while impaired. Stephenson was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Stephenson must also complete 24 hours of community service and was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Ricky Allen Tucker II was convicted of assault on a female. Tucker II was sentenced to 150 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation, and must complete substance abuse, mental health and domestic violence assessment programs. 

 

Christopher Wilson was convicted of maintaining a dwelling for drug purposes. Wilson was sentenced to 6 to 17 months in jail, with 60 days time served.

 

Ricky Allen Tucker II was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Tucker II was sentenced to 3 additional days to his suspended jail term.
