Polk County District Court results – June 7, 2023

In Polk County District Court on June 7, 2023, with Judge Abe Hudson presiding, 61 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to Superior Court.       

 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Robert Gene Ashe was convicted of simple possession of a Schedule 4 controlled substance. Ashe was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Sean Michael Baggett was convicted of breaking or entering. Baggett was sentenced to 10 days in jail, with 10 days time served.

 

William Shawn Brazell was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ oz. Brazell was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Heather Dawn Baisden was convicted of simple possession of a Schedule 4 controlled substance. Baisden was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Manuel Sixtos Diaz was convicted of driving while impaired. Diaz was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Diaz must also perform 24 hours of community service and was fined $50 plus court costs.

 

David Loran Gainey II was convicted of driving without a license. Gainey II was fined $25 plus court costs.

 

Jessica Rae Hoover was convicted of reckless driving with wanton disregard. Hoover was fined $98 plus court costs.

 

Vanessa Ann Ledbetter was convicted of driving without a license. Ledbetter was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Timothy William McCurry was convicted of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a felon, maintaining a dwelling for drug purposes, simple possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCurry was sentenced to 10-21 months in jail and must complete a substance abuse treatment assessment. 

 

Christine Nicole Moore was convicted of obtaining property under false pretense. Moore was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

James Rickman was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Rickman was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Tara Thomas Rouse was convicted of identity theft. Rouse was sentenced to 6 to 17 months in jail, suspended for 18 months of supervised probation. 

 

Daniel Wayne Russ was convicted of having an expired registration card or tag. Russ was fined $25 plus court costs.

 

Daryl Kerevin Counts was convicted of driving without a license. Counts was fined $30  plus court costs.

 

David Eugene Daniel was convicted of driving without a license. Daniel was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Karen Pierce was convicted of failure to stop at a stop sign or red light. Pierce was fined $30 plus court costs.
