Polk County District Court results – May 3, 2023

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, May 3, with Judge Gene Johnson presiding, 151 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

 

The following persons were convicted of crimes.

Jessia Eliza Callebs was convicted of speeding. Callebs was fined $25 plus court costs.

 

Quintin Davis was convicted of felony possession of cocaine and felony possession of a schedule one substance. Davis was sentenced to six to 17 months in jail, with 15 days time served.

 

Lorenzo Funches was convicted of possession of a firearm by a felon. Funches was sentenced to seven to 18 months in jail, suspended for 24 months of supervised probation.

 

Kevin Hugh Hamrick was convicted of speeding. Hamrick was fined $10 plus court costs.

 

Jose A. Hernandez was convicted of driving while impaired. Hernandez was sentenced to 30 days in jail suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, and was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Faith Marie Rhodes was convicted of speeding. Rhodes was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Scarllette E. Selfridge was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Selfridge was sentenced to five to 15 months in jail suspended for 24 months of supervised probation and must complete a substance abuse assessment, and was fined $600 for lab fees plus court costs.

 

Spencer Levon Simpson was convicted of resisting a public officer. Simpson was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 30 days time served.

 

Michael Robert Wyatt was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Wyatt was sentenced to 45 days in jail.
