COLUMBUS– Evelyn Grace Creasman Butler, 95, of Columbus, NC passed away Monday morning February 22, 2021 at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, Forest City, NC.
Born in Buncombe County, NC on May 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Jesse J. and Florence Spaine Creasman. She was married to Van H. Butler who died in 1989.
She was a homemaker and a farmer. She loved the many hours she and Van worked on their farm in Green Creek and raised their two sons. After her retirement she volunteered at Outreach Ministries for many years. She was a Presbyterian by faith and was faithful to attend services until Covid- 19.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by sons, Roger and Larry Butler, brothers, Gene and Jack Creasman, sister, Edith Creasman Gasperson, and three grandsons.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Jill Neeley (Mike) of Arden, NC and Laura (Joey) Bohanon of Jacksonville, FL.; two great-granddaughters, Alexandra Gracelyn and Abigail Catherine Poupore of Arden, NC
A graveside service will be held April 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC with Reverend Phillip Ashley officiating.
