Tryon Fire Department report – Sept. 2018

In September, the Tryon Fire Department responded to 112 calls, for a total service time of 69 hours, 29 seconds.

Department crews responded to two structure fires, 13 rekindling calls at the Melrose Inn burn site, one origin and cause investigation, two natural gas leaks, one electrical issue-malfunction, one illegal burn, four hazardous condition — power line calls, 14 hazardous condition — trees calls, two hazardous condition — trees and lines calls, two motor vehicle accidents, four smoke scares, one smoke detector — false MA/D&C, nine local government assistance calls, 14 public service calls and 42 emergency medical services calls.
