In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 172 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following people were convicted of a crime:

Margaret D. Alexander was convicted of level-five driving while impaired. Alexander was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Amanda Nicole Apoldo was convicted of level-five driving while impaired. Apoldo was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, $600 in lab fees and court costs.

Jason Wesley Barnwell was convicted of two counts of failure to notify DMV. Barnwell was fined $20 and court costs.

Melissa A. Blackwell was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting public officer. Blackwell was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for time served.

Michael Jason Bowen was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Bowen was fined $50 and court costs.

Bradley Daniel Corgan was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Corgan was fined $40 and court costs.

Anthony Lloyd Hall was convicted of level-five driving while impaired and reckless driving to endanger. Hall was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service and court costs.

Karen Jamessdehamilton was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Jamessdehamilton was fined $40 and court costs.

DChance Anne Johnson was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Johnson was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Tomas Josef W. Koenig was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Koenig was fined $50 and court costs.

Burrell Vanes Lanning was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Lanning was fined $40 and court costs.

Rogers S. Malik-Joel was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Malik-Joel was fined $40 and court costs.

Michele A. Mittelbrown was convicted of level-five driving while impaired. Mittelbrown was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Victoria Iona Mullen was convicted of level-four driving while impaired. Mullen was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Manuel Olvera Padron was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Padron was fined $40 and court costs.

Tasha F. Rankin was convicted of failure to heed light or siren. Rankin was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation, a $20 fine and court costs.

John Brendan Roche was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Roche was fined $40 and court costs.

Carrie Goforth Rogers was convicted of level-two driving while impaired. Rogers was sentenced to one year of supervised probation, seven days in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.

Joshua Terrence Ruff was convicted of resisting public officer. Ruff was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for time served.

Susan McGowan Russell was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Russell was fined $40 and court costs.

Preston Ellio Squyres was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Squyres was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Kevin Michael Stack was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Stack was fined $50 and court costs.

Marvin Van Stiles was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Stiles was fined $50 and court costs.

Denny Counch Sysaknoi was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Sysaknoi was one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Keegan G. Thurlby was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Thurlby was fined $40 and court costs.

Jerry Lewis Toney was convicted of tampering with vehicle. Toney was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.

Marquetta Tamika Ware was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Ware was fined $50 and court costs.

Kelisha Lasha Wilkins was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Wilkins was fined $100.

Patti Luann Yarbrough was convicted of a probation violation. Yarbrough was sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit for 99 days, then probation terminated.

Trevor Cassidy Young was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Young was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for time served.
