Joshua Anthony Kelker Moffitt, age 32, of Landrum, S.C., passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Moffitt was born in Polk County to Anthony Kelker Moffitt and Rachel Rhiannon Moffitt of Landrum. He graduated from Polk County High School in 2002 and then the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007 with degrees in both Dramatic Arts and History, being always faithful and true to his beloved fraternity, Mu Beta Psi, and all of his stage friends in college.

He loved stage acting as well as playing parts in high school plays. The Tryon Little Theater was like a second family to him. A loving son, a loving friend, a loving human. It is so hard to say goodbye. He will be missed by all who loved him as well as all whom he loved.

He is survived by his parents, Toby Moffitt and Rachel Skye Moffitt of Landrum, and uncles, Henry, John and Peter.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tryon, N.C. with Father Roger Arnsparger officiating. Burial will follow at Green Creek First Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at Sanders Funeral and Cremation Service, 80 Park Street Columbus, NC 28722.
