Polk County District Court results for April 20

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, with Judge David K. Fox presiding, 91 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jibril Abdullahi was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Abdullahi was fined $40 and court costs.

Moshe Anuar was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Anuar was fined $20 and court costs.

Caleb Shane Clary was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Clary was fined $40 and court costs.

Warren Dane Cox was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Cox was to pay court costs.

Kenneth Wayne Howard was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Howard was fined $50 and court costs.

Nicholas Kelby Justice was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Justice was sentenced to one day unsupervised probation and court costs.

Shelby Bree Morris was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Morris was fined $30 and court costs.

Michael Scot Nicholson was convicted of resisting public officer. Nicholson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Kaleb David Patrie was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Patrie was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

Joel Mack Rapchik was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Rapchik was fined $40 and court costs.

Carla Marie Witt was convicted of level three driving while impaired. Witt was sentenced to two years unsupervised probation, 72 hours of community service, a $250 fine and court costs.

William Mitchel Owenby was convicted of disorderly conduct. Owenby was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for time served.
