Polk County District Court results for March 2

In Polk County District Court on March 2, 2016 with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 147 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Marshall Alexander Jr. was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Alexander was fined $50 and court costs.
Johnny Lee Allen was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor, misdemeanor larceny and flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle. Allen was sentenced to 36 days in jail with credit and court costs.
Nyjyl Stephen Barnes was convicted of breaking and or entering and felony larceny. Barnes was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and court costs.
Michael Scott Helton was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Helton was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $175 fine and court costs.
Philip Avrum Hendel was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Hendel was fined $40 and court costs.
Larry David Holcombe was convicted of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance. Holcombe was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and court costs.
Kenneth Robert Hughes was convicted of driving while license revoked- not impaired revocation. Hughes was fined $100 and court costs.
Luis Enriq Ochoa-Trejo was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Ochoa-Trejo was fined $100 and court costs.
John Wayne Sparks Jr. was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Sparks was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and court costs.
Robert Hayes Staley was convicted of two counts of worthless check simple. Staley was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit and court costs.
Kenneth Cauvalle Webb was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Webb was fined $100 and court costs.
