Polk County Superior Court results for Feb. 1

In Polk County Criminal Superior Court held the week of Feb. 1, 2016, with Judge James T. Davis presiding, eight trials were conducted and 55 cases were heard. Some cases were continued or dismissed.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Olga Lucia Bannister was convicted of failure to stop at a stop sign/flashing red light. Bannister was fined $50 and court costs.

JY’Necia Tionca Burke was convicted of two counts of identity theft. Burke was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit, 60 months supervised probation and court costs.

Billy Lawrence Carr was convicted of felony larceny. Carr was sentenced to 36 months supervised probation and court costs.

Michael Scott Constance was convicted of indecent exposure and assault on child under age 12. Constance was sentenced to 120 days in jail with 20 days credit.

Stephen Rupert Hunter Jr. was convicted of possession of stolen goods. Hunter was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, 50 hours of community service and court costs.

Edward James Riddle was convicted of second-degree trespass. Riddle was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit.

Fredrian Dewain Robinson was convicted of possession of five plus counterfeit instrument. Robinson was sentenced to five months in prison, 30 months supervised probation and court costs.

Jesse Wayne Woods was convicted of possession of heroin and attempted traffic opium or heroin. Woods was sentenced to 141 days in jail with credit, 36 months supervised probation and court costs.
