Polk County District Court results for Jan. 6

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2015, with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 144 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Adia Nache Dillard was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Dillard was fined $30.

Gary Wan Lam was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Lam was fined $40 and court costs.

Randy Travis Lane was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Lane was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Christina Lee Parris was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Parris was given 36 days credit on a 45-day sentence.

John Will Picklesimer was convicted of domestic violence protective order violation. Picklesimer was sentenced to 22 days in jail with credit.

Shyam K. Rangan was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Rangan was fined $50 and court costs.

April Dawn Roberts was convicted of obstruction of justice and misdemeanor larceny. Roberts was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for time served.
