Polk County District Court results, Dec. 10

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 114 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jason Carroll Barnes was convicted of defrauding drug/alcohol screen. Barnes was sentenced to 10 days in jail.

Regis Ahmad Bittle was convicted of failure to comply with monies. Bittle was sentenced to 10 days in jail.

Mary Catherine Bones was convicted of impaired equipment. Bones was fined $40 and court costs.

Barbara Anne Hecht was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Hecht was fined $90 and court costs.

Charles Burgess Jones was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Jones was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

Starsha Lynne Jordan was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Jordan was fined $30 and court costs.

Vickie Ruff Lindsey was convicted of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance. Lindsey was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for time served.

Shelly Lee McGivney was convicted of driving while license revoked, level two driving while impaired and reckless driving to endanger. McGivney was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for driving while impaired and reckless driving to endanger and sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $400 fine and court costs for driving while impaired.

Michael Dwayne Novene was convicted of impaired equipment. Novene was fined $30 and court costs.

Thomas Christopher Rush was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Rush was fined $90 and court costs.

Ashley Frances Simpson was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Simpson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Steven Matthew Wise was convicted of impaired equipment. Wise was fined $40 and court costs.
