Stephen Douglas Harrold, 52, of Saluda, N.C. died July 4.

Surviving is his mother, Ellen Llewellyn Harrold of Norfolk, Va.; companion and best friend, Betsy Anderson Singleton of Saluda, N.C.; brothers, Thomas and Rick Harrold; sisters, Mary Alexander, Kathleen Hill and Theresa Ornoff.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Virginia.
