Taking things for granted: jeopardizing your safety and security

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 185 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Timothy Lee Anderson was convicted of shine/sweep light for deer. Anderson was fined $250 fine and court costs.
Tiffany Crystal Beasley was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Beasley was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Lindsey Helms Boone was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Boone was fined $40 and court costs.
Wayne Gavrick Carson was convicted of speeding 54 mph in a 35 mph zone. Carson was fined $30 and court costs.
Nathan Wally Cross was convicted of two counts of communicating threats and second-degree trespassing. Cross was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs.
Alex Timothy Ford was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting public officer. Ford was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Antious Ginjoer Ford was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Ford was fined $30 and court costs.
Joseph Miles Foster was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Foster was fined $30 and court costs.
Richard D. Gilbert was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Gilbert was fined $30 and court costs.
Dominique Narissa Gill was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Gill was fined $25 and court costs.
Raleigh Justin Jackson was convicted of flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle, failure to heed light or siren and speeding 90 mph in a 45 mph zone. Jackson was sentenced to one year supervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Nathan Bryan Justice was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Justice was to pay court costs.
Evanildo D. Maier was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Maier was fined $30 and court costs.
Angela Nichole Marko was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone and driving while license revoked. Marko was fined $30 and court costs.
Ryan Matthew McGuinn was convicted of fishing without a license. McGuinn was to pay court costs.
Nicole Marie McKinney was convicted of give/lend/borrow license plate. McKinney was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served and court costs.
Lisa Ann Mills was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Mills was fined $40 and court costs.
Suzanne Marie Moore was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Moore was to pay court costs.
Amanda E. Motherhead was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Motherhead was fined $40 and court costs.
Robert Owens was convicted of litter gameland/access area. Owens was sentenced to eight days in jail with credit for time served.
Mitchell Adam Page was convicted of failure to wear seat belt-driver. Page was fined 25 and court costs.
Mary Yvonne Reed was convicted of driving while license revoked. Reed was sentenced to seven days in jail.
Ada Lou Richardson was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Richardson was fined $50 and court costs.
Nelson Edward Sartoris was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Sartoris was fined $50 and court costs.
Johnny Lee Simpson was convicted of assault on a female. Simpson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs.
Stacey Lavon Whitmire was convicted of driving while license revoked. Whitmire was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
