Spring brings puppies and kittens to foothills

I would like to put in my two paws’ worth and warmly welcome FHS’s new Executive Director, Selena Coffey. Selena fit in immediately and has been working tirelessly to straighten us all out. She has a great work ethic and something I particularly admire – common sense. Selena (or should I call you, boss?) I’m sure glad you’re here.
Please remember our PitBull Protection program – we will spay/neuter any pit bull for free. Please call, and we will arrange for surgery for your pit bull, and please consider adopting one of the beautiful pit bull mixes we have at the shelter.
We are knee-deep in kitten and puppy Season – aargh! Please spay or neuter your cats and dogs. We will spay or neuter outdoor, stray or barn cats for free, and we have programs to help with the expense for indoor cats and for dogs.
Please call 828-863-4444 today and make an appointment before we have more spring litters to deal with.
We need barn homes for some of our Po’Kitties and we need loving homes for cats, dogs and the occasional odd animal (some are odder than others, but who am I to talk?). Come by the shelter and meet these wonderful animals.  Who knows? You may even find your new best friend.
