Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011 with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 99 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are given as they appear in court records):

Joe Mitchell Anders Jr. was convicted of litter game land/access area and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Anders was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Steven James Dawson was convicted of speeding 94 mph in a 65 mph zone. Dawson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $94 fine and court costs.

Valente Falcon was convicted of driving a vehicle with no operator’s license. Falcon was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for time served.

Matthew Tyler Langley was convicted of driving a vehicle with no operator’s license. Langley was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

Eric Scott Owens was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Owens was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Benjamin Grey Pittman was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Pittman was fined $30 and court costs.

Joshua Michael Yeomans was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Yeomans was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $75 fine and court costs.
