Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held on Wednesday, April 6 with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 72 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are as given in court results):
David Crawford was convicted of simple assault. Crawford was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $30 fine and court costs.
Andrew David Freiberger was convicted of level 2 driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. On the driving while impaired charge, Freiberger was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, seven days in jail, a $500 fine and court costs. On the driving while license revoked charge, he was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs.
Kim Lance McGivney Jr. was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. McGivney was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail and court costs.
Wanda Kay Queen was convicted of resisting a public officer. Queen was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Xavier Alexander Valdes was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Valdes was fined $40 and court costs.
Timothy Edward Watkins was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired and operating a vehicle with no operator’s license. Watkins was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $25 fine and court costs for driving while impaired and one year unsupervised probation and court costs for no operator’s license.
