Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 64 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are as given in court records):

William Otis Dye was convicted of driving while license revoked. Dye was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs.

Robert Steve Greathead was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Greathead was fined $40 and court costs.

Joel Franklin McClellan was convicted of three counts of probation violation. McClellan’s probation was terminated.

Troy Kevin Melvin was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Melvin was sentenced to 24 hours of community service and court costs.

Adam Chris Mills was convicted of two counts of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Mills was sentenced to 25 days in jail with credit for 25 days served.

Derrick Roy Potts was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Potts was sentenced to 10 days at the N.C. Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

Dallas Lynn Shadwick was convicted of simple assault and resisting public officer. Shadwick was sentenced to eight days in jail with credit for time served.

Christian Robin Talley was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Talley was fined $40 and court costs.
