Lillian Norma Shehan, 73, of Mill Spring passed away Monday morning, October 18, 2010 at Smith Phayer Hospice House, Landrum.

Born October 18, 1937 in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Howard James Ruff Sr. and Rose Agetha Norman Ruff. Ms. Shehan retired from the textile industry after many years and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two sons, Calvin Ruff (Kari) of Sunny View and Terry Shehan of Mill Spring; three daughters, Becky Nelon (John) of Sunny View, Wanda Russell (Ray) of Mill Spring and Pamela Tessnear (Brian) of Pea Ridge; one brother, Bill Ruff of Inman, S.C.; one sister, Gladys Melton of Rutherfordton, N.C. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and two great grandsons.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, with Rev. David Bame and Phillip Guffey officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, N.C.

At other times, the family will be at the home of a daughter, Pamela Tessnear.
