John E. Ed Hooker, II

Born on July 19, 1947 in Hendersonville, NC, Ed was the son of John and Mary Hooker. He served with the Air Force as a pilot during the Vietnam War, leaving the service in 1975 as a Captain. Ed resided with his family for many years in LaGrange, OH.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Hooker. He is survived by his brother, William Franklin Hooker (Lynn) of Statesville, NC; sister, Patricia Bonds of Forest City, NC; sons, Steven R. Hooker (Pamela) of Akron, OH and John E. Hooker, III (Meredith) of Akron, OH; daughter, Kristin M. Kieffer (Justin) of Hudson, MI; seven grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home, 56 Northwest Blvd., Newton, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
