Phillip Dye

He was the son of Henry and Esther Day of Akron, N.Y. He was born on February 29, 1928 and was married to Rose Marie Denney Dye of Mt. Pleasant. They resided in Mt. Pleasant from 1968 until 1993, when they both retired and moved to Landrum.

Mr. Dye while in the banking business in Mt. Pleasant was a member of the exchange club and later in the 1980s worked for the executive association of Greater Charleston while he was self employed.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Denney Dye; son, Jonathan Dye of Mt. Pleasant; son, Christopher Dye of Mt Pleasant; widowed daughter-in-law, Colleen Dye of Newnan, Ga.; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Stephen Dye.

A funeral service was held Monday, March 9, 2009 at Petty Funeral Chapel in Landrum.

A memorial service will be held at Stuhrs Funeral Home, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd., Mt. Pleasant, S.C. at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009.
