Cecil Plumley

Plumley was born in Landrum on Nov. 10, 1930, the son of the late Fred Wilkie and Della Leona (Hughes) Plumley. He was the husband of Freda (Foster) Plumley.

He is survived by a son, Glen Plumley of Landrum; two sisters, Zelma Burrell, Leota Messer both of Landrum; three brothers, Talmadge Plumley of Landrum, Sidney Plumley of Campobello, Gliston Plumley of Landrum; and two grandchildren.

He worked as a carpenter, was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Landrum, and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Landrum, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, with Rev. Ken Weathers, and Rev. Chuck Mullinax officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Landrum.

Seawright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
