Last Friday (Aug. 28), Landrum’s football team came up well short against Travelers Rest, but Cardinals’ coach Jason Farmer feels that this (Friday) evening’s game against Walhalla, at Landrum, could be much different.

“I think we can match up a little better than against Travelers Rest, Farmer noted of Walhalla.

Farmer admitted that the Cardinals did not play well in last week’s 41-7 loss, in which Anthony Anderson’s late-game touchdown run was Landrum’s main highlight.

Last week Walhalla’s Razorbacks squeaked by West-Oak, 20-19.

“That (loss) goes on me,” Farmer said. “I’ve taken full responsibility for that. He emphasized that his players have had good practice sessions this week.

“We’re looking forward to this.”

Opening kickoff is set for 7:30.
