Martha Manning Brazell

Martha Manning Brazell, 56, of Acorn Alley, Columbus, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 in the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills House, Landrum, SC.

Born in Spartanburg County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Ava Watson and Charles Manning.

Martha worked with the Educational TV Endowment of South Carolina in Spartanburg, S.C. before moving to Polk County in 2002.

She retired from the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Asheville, N.C.

Surviving are: Her husband of 40 years, Alex Clifford Brazell; a son, Kris A. Brazell (Angie) of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Lucy Stuart (Russ) of Easley, S.C. and one grandson, Dashiell Brazell.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, with Rev. Dr. Chris Osborn officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Sunday, just prior to the service in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus.
