Many Polk players make all-conference

Polk County High was well represented on the All-Conference teams for each of the four fall sports this year.
Polk County had eight players named to the 2A/1A Western Highlands All-Conference team for football, and Wolverine coach Bruce Ollis was named the conferences co-coach of the year, along with Mountain Heritage coach Joey Robinson.
Andre Overholt, one of the eight Polk players named to the team, was also named the conferences Offensive Player of the Year. He was joined on the team by Polk teammates: Justin Blackburn, Kasey Jackson, J.J. Maxwell, Seth McCool, Tyler Philpott, Landon Schlabach and Ryan Thomas.
Polk Countys Maggie Conner picked up the top honor in volleyball as she was named the Player of the Year in the conference. She was joined on the All-Conference team by Polks Haley Champion, Brittney Phipps, Nikki Williams and Katie Wilson.
In soccer, Polk had five players on the team: David Abril, Clay Blackwell, Hugo Santos, Valentin Santos and Cole Weicker.
John Spencer Wolfe, a standout runner for Polk County, represented the school on the All-Conference team for cross country this year.
