“Autumn was amazing this weekend,” Marshall head coach Megan Smith Lyon said. “She’s an amazing teammate, an amazing player, an amazing person. For her to be so locked in with every at-bat, having a quality at-bat, I am so proud of her. She is our leader and she is stepping up big for us right now.”

Owen drove in 14 runs in Marshall’s five games, for a 2.000 slugging percentage, while getting walked three times, for an on-base percentage of .667. Two singles and an RBI double were also part of Owen’s weekend at the plate.

The former Polk County standout caught all five games, finishing with 41 putouts and three assists.
