St. Luke’s Hospital Pain Center welcomes new practitioners

St. Luke’s Hospital welcomes Dr. Charles “Chuck” Court and Nurse Practitioner Jessica Wright to their team of caregivers at their on-site Pain Center.

Dr. Court is a member of Scope Anesthesia of North Carolina which serves hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers across the state, including the Atrium locations in Cleveland County. He is a physician leader in his group and works with facilities as large as Carolinas Medical Center, the Level 1 Trauma Center in Center City, Charlotte, and smaller community hospitals such as Atrium Health Lincoln.

“Dr. Court has extensive expertise in anesthesia, and I personally had the privilege of working with him in my previous role as VP of Perioperative Services and Anesthesia at Atrium Health,” said CEO Michelle Fortune. “I have found Chuck to be approachable, knowledgeable and kind. He will be well received by our community and patients.”

Dr. Court trained at MUSC and is board certified in anesthesiology as well as in pain medicine. He is also a Certified Professional in-Patient Safety (CPPS).

In addition to Dr. Court, Jessica Wright has joined the team at St. Luke’s Hospital Pain Center. Jessica is a dedicated and talented nurse practitioner with 15 years combined experience in occupational medicine, geriatrics, pain management, trauma and surgical critical care, and internal medicine. A board-certified acute care nurse practitioner, Jessica currently works with corporate clients and medical teams in an acute care setting. Her previous experience includes collaborating with primary care and other multidisciplinary specialists to promote maintenance of chronic pain management. She has treated patients of various ages with chronic pain, spinal, and general health issues, and has experience with joint injections, fluoroscopic procedures and neurological disorders. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Science in Nursing, Acute Care.
