Century Sounds at Foothills Music Club

Published 11:08 pm Monday, May 13, 2019

The Foothills Music Club held the last meeting of the 2018-2019 season on May 9 at the home of Elaine Jenkins. Members enjoyed a program of “Century Sounds,” consisting of music from a hundred years ago. Vocal selections included Gershwin’s “Summertime”,  “I’ll See You Again” by Noël Coward and “Ah! Sweet Mystery of Life” by Victor Herbert. There was much audience toe-tapping to a piano solo of Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag” and a saxophone rendition of “Tin Roof Blues.”
