In our effort to help older adults remain in their own homes as they age, Saluda Living in Place is pleased to offer the educational program, “Bones, Moans, and Groans” on March 22, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Saluda Fire Station on Greenville Street in Saluda.

“Bones, Moans and Groans” will be presented by Dr. Lisa Broyles. Broyles is a primary care provider with an interest in holistic/integrative medicine.   She is a member of Saint Luke’s Physician Network and will be opening her medical office in Saluda this spring.

Dr. Broyles is practiced in functional medicine, identifying and addressing the root cause of symptoms and diseases.  Come and learn simple, practical ways to reduce pain to help oneself and loved ones.

“I so much enjoy sharing information with others and I love caring for the community.  I’m looking forward to my new office on Ozone Road in Saluda.”

Please join us in welcoming Broyles to our community while learning more about self-care, and the steps one can take to live a longer, healthier and more enjoyable life.

Free pre-diabetes testing will be available at 9:30 a.m.

SLIP is now offering a Walking Group on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, beginning Tuesday, March 6. Walkers will meet at the city parking lot (Tailgate Market) at 10 a.m. You can walk a mile – or more or less – whatever your preference, but we will not walk in the rain, snow or any temperature less than 32 degrees.

Saluda Living in Place is a 501(c)(3) organization.  SLIP’s goal is to change the experience of aging through access to services and health care, opportunities for education and social activities and opportunities for community involvement.

All events are open to everyone, so come, bring your friends and neighbors, and meet new friends.

If you need transportation to this event call 828-749-0049.
