Cardinals gunning for win number two at home this evening

Landrum head football coach Jason Farmer agreed that the first win of the season might be the most difficult to register. Last week, the Cardinals (1-3) earned their season’s first, with a 20-9 win at West-Oak. This evening, they host the Walhalla Razorbacks who bring a 4-1 mark. The Cardinals will be fighting for win number two.

“Our kids are pretty excited about getting a win last week,” Farmer noted, adding, “They are excited about moving forward with another.”

Walhalla, Farmer noted, is pretty good. “They’re athletic, and they have a good quarterback.” He was referring to Chris Meadors (#2), who also catches and defends against passes. Farmer added that the Razorbacks feature good running backs and receivers.

“Our entire team continues to get better, Farmer remarked. Landrum QB Michael Clark (two TD passes) had a fantastic game last week. Our offensive line keeps getting better.” Farmer also noted that his defense is playing well.

Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium.
