Tryon Country Club golfing benefit for the Foothills Humane Society

The for-sure winners at the Tryon Country Club golfing benefit on Thursday, Oct. 26, will be the many cats and dogs of the Foothills Humane Society. To be one of the 40 golfers taking their chances on nine scenic holes, players need to make an immediate reservation to be assured of one of the few remaining spots in the Par-Tee for Pets. A confirmed reservation guarantees a seat in the golf cart of a captain’s choice foursome followed by an awards lunch. Shotgun start will be at 10 a.m. There are no guarantees as to how well each player will perform but mulligans are available to help improve chances.

There are thank-you prizes for every player plus performance prizes. Pro-shop $25 gift certificates will be awarded for low gross and low net foursomes. There are also prizes for the closest to the pin at holes 3 and 8.

Lunch includes sandwiches, pasta salad, wine, beer, water, soft drinks, cookies, and more. Non-golfers can reserve the same dining to hear the successes or excuses of the morning on the course.

Hole sponsorships are also available for anyone and any business to have their name at a tee box.

For a private, non-profit, no-kill shelter, donations make the difference until they all have a home. If you want to tee up at this annual benefit for the many cats and dogs, call 828-863-4444 or visit foothillshumanesociety.org or Facebook.
