Bright’s Creek to host annual Polar Plunge Fundraiser

Published 10:00 pm Thursday, December 25, 2014

Join us as we start the New Year off with a chilly plunge in the Bright’s Creek pond and support a worthy cause. There will be hot chocolate and hot cider by the fire to warm up with before and after the plunge. The cost is free to attend, and $20 donation to plunge! Check in will be held from 10-11 a.m.; the plunge starts at 12 p.m.

All proceeds go the Polk County Sheriff’s Needy Fund to help those in our community in need of assistance. The Polk County Needy Fund has benefitted the residents of Polk County for more than 20 years. Polk County Sheriff Donald Hill would like to continue to build strong partnerships with our communities and neighbors to ensure this program continues to benefit families of our county.

Plunge alone or bring a team. A prize will be awarded for most creative costume and most money raised by an individual. Registration forms are available at the Sheriff’s office, Bright’s Creek and by email. Help us to help others to bring in a New Year!
