The next monthly Pea Ridge community gathering will be on Thursday, May 8, at 7 p.m. in the community center.  Speakers for the event will be Kathy Taft and Al Creasy, discussing their book Polk County, North Carolina Cemeteries which they compiled in 2002 after locating and recording every possible public and private cemetery in Polk County.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and bring snacks and beverage. The center is located at 207 Big Level Road, 3-1/2 miles east of Mill Spring, just off Highway 108.
Bring recyclables to the center as the Polk County recycling truck will be there from 6:15 – 7 p.m. just prior to the meeting.
Also it would be appreciated if you could help restock the pantry with paper ware and supplies such as sectioned plates, dessert plates, plastic forks and spoons, cups, toilet tissue, paper towels, 13 gal. size and huge leaf size trash bags, etc.
