Julia Gillespie listens to Ashlyn Ramsey’s heart using a stethoscope. In February, students at Saluda Elementary School learned all about their hearts and how to keep them healthy. Teachers led special classroom activities about heart health. Tips on heart health were shared on the daily morning news show. In PE classes, students jumped rope and listened to heartbeats using stethoscopes. Students donated $102 to the American Heart Association after participating in Jump Rope for Heart.
