GREEN CREEK—The final Friends of Ag Breakfast of the season will be held this Wednesday, May 15, at 7 a.m. at the Green Creek Community Center located at 25 Shields Drive.

The event is free and open to the public. Local farmers, growers, and other food producers provide fresh ingredients for a delicious complimentary country breakfast. To promote sustainability, attendees are encouraged to bring their own coffee mugs, plates, and flatware. This month’s FOA breakfast sponsor is Mountain Brook Vineyards.

This month, after the breakfast, there will be a Friends of Ag roundtable discussion. Organizers want to hear from the local farmers and breakfast attendees and give them a chance to share, network, and make suggestions.

The breakfast, held for the past 12 years, is more than just a meal. It’s a platform to hear from local farms and agricultural experts and a chance to connect with neighbors and community support agencies that contribute to our beautiful, rural agricultural county.

Friends of Agriculture Breakfast is held on the third Wednesday of every month, from November through May. For more information, contact info@polkcountyfarms.org or call 828-894-2281.
