MILL SPRING—The Professional Bull Riders Challenger Series is returning to the Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort for the fourth consecutive year. The Challenger Series PBR Tryon will take place on June 21 and June 22 and feature some of the world’s best bull riders.

TIEC is known for offering world-class facilities for equestrian events of all levels and disciplines. It provides a perfect backdrop for a showdown between man and beast. The PBR Challenger Series will hold more than 60 events from May to October, culminating with its Championship on October 16-17 in Las Vegas. The Challenger Series provides additional competitive opportunities to bull riders who are both affiliated and unaffiliated with a PBR Teams league team.

The PBR debuted at TIEC in 2021, bringing the Velocity Tour to the Tar Heel State, and the event was a huge success. Last year, the “Original Extreme Sport” returned to Tryon International Stadium for the final preseason event for the newly launched PBR Teams league, which took bull riding from an individual to a team sport.

This year, the PBR Tryon will feature some of the best bull riders in the world battling it out with the sport’s best bovine athletes. All 35 competing bull riders will get on one bull each in Round 1 on Friday night and Round 2 on Saturday evening. The riders’ individual two-round scores will be totaled, with the top 10 advancing to the championship round for one more out and a chance at the event title.

Tickets for the two-day event are on sale now, starting at $30, excluding taxes and fees. VIP tickets will also be available for the PBR Tryon, which will include access to temperature-controlled viewing areas, private bathrooms, and dining. VIP Table tickets, which seat up to four, also grant early access and feature private seating with beer and wine, access to the second-floor club level, and a temperature-controlled viewing area. The PBR Challenger Series is the sport’s only standalone series from June to October, providing additional competitive opportunities to bull riders who are both affiliated and unaffiliated with a PBR Teams league team.

At the conclusion of the series, the top 40 riders in the standings will qualify for the Challenger Championship, which will be held at the Las Vegas South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in conjunction with the PBR Teams Championship.
