New affordable housing complex located in Columbus


COLUMBUS—Jasmine Apartments, the newest affordable housing complex in the Columbus area, is now accepting applications for tenants as of April 1. The apartments are managed by Excel Property Management

“Now is a great time to apply since there is currently no waiting list,” said Excel Regional Asset Manager Patricia Liford. “The apartments are located in a beautiful spot and within a short drive of US 74 and I-26, as well as downtown Columbus.” 

The complex’s 70 apartments are all leased based on income level, aimed for families and individuals who earn below a certain income level, as determined by certain financial limits: $43,600 for a single person in a one-bedroom apartment and up to $83,0000 for a family of seven in a three-bedroom apartment. 

Jasmine Apartments offers one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The spacious apartments are equipped with refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers and washer/dryer connections. One-bedroom apartments will range from $435 to $930 per month, two-bedroom apartments from $530 to $1,120 per month and three-bedroom apartments from $610 to $1,300 per month. 

The three-building complex will feature a standalone community building containing space for property and maintenance managers. The building will also include a gym, laundry room, computer room and play area for children.

All apartments are ADA-compliant and handicap accessible, with a select few designed for people with hearing and vision disabilities.
