LANDRUM—The newest spot in the area for those looking for holistic healing or a relaxing massage is the Sage Mountain Spa & Wellness, located at 121 E. Prince Rd. in Landrum. The spa is owned and operated by Madelynn Marie, a licensed massage bodywork therapist with years of experience in various healing arts.

Marie, a Columbus resident, is already known in the area to regulars at the Columbus Farmers Market, where her homemade bath salts and sage wands are popular items. She has spent years traveling and training in ancient medicine practices like Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, Hawaiian lomilomi and other holistic therapies.

She had been in the process of looking for a brick-and-mortar spot to bring her skills and knowledge in holistic medicine to the area when she came across the 1200-square-foot location on E. Prince Rd.

“I’m excited to be here in Landrum,” said Marie. “My goal is for Sage Mountain to be a beacon, a lighthouse of holistic wellness, especially for women. A place where they can feel empowered.”

The spa provides high-quality massage therapy services that help achieve optimal health and wellness and aims to create a safe and relaxing environment that allows its customers to escape the stresses of everyday life and find inner peace. Sage Mountain Spa & Wellness offers a wide range of treatments, including signature massage and bodywork, Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage, deep tissue massage, Bellanina Botanical facelift massage and many other services and therapies.

“We want our clients to know they can come here and share their story,” Marie adds. “We’re here to listen to our clients’ voices and body language to determine their needs. We look forward to serving the local area and sharing the healing power of massage.”

Sage Mountain Spa is currently taking customers by appointment only, which can be made at sagemountainspa.com or by phone at 864-661-0100. The spa will host a grand opening celebration on March 23 with refreshments and a mini-reflexology class.
