GREEN CREEK—The Friends of Ag Breakfast is back for its 12th annual event featuring guest speaker Stephen Bishop from the NC Cooperative Extension Agency.

The event will be held on Wednesday, February 21, at 7 a.m. at the Green Creek Community Center. Bishop will highlight how NC FarmLink connects farmers and landowners to farm transition and succession planning resources. The event is free and open to the public, with local farmers, growers and other food producers providing fresh ingredients for a complimentary country breakfast.

AgSouth Farm Credit is the sponsor for this month’s FOA breakfast.

The Friends of Agriculture Breakfast has been a staple in the community for the past 12 years, featuring speakers from local farms and other agricultural experts in their field.

The event serves as a great opportunity for community members to connect with one another and with community support agencies that are here to help maintain the beautiful, rural agricultural county.

Sustainability is a key component of the event, and attendees are encouraged to bring their coffee mugs and plates.

The complimentary breakfast will be served at the Green Creek Community Center, located at 25 Shields Drive in Tryon. The Friends of Agriculture Breakfast is held on the third Wednesday of every month from November through May.
