Many local businesses are participating in the contest, displaying their “spooktacular” scarecrow creations throughout downtown Landrum. The community will be able to vote for their favorite scarecrow through the city’s Facebook page, or by calling Landrum City Hall, from October 23 to October 28.

The winner will be announced during Landrum’s Halloween Stroll, set for Saturday, October 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., and will receive a $100 gift card for a Landrum restaurant. The stroll will feature trick-or-treating at downtown businesses and a costume contest at the center stage at 6 p.m. There will also be games, music and Life Springs Basketball on North Trade Ave.

“Visitors just love to see the scarecrow displays, children love to see them,” says Landrum Marketing Director Tricia Taber. “This is a wonderful event and a great way to bring local businesses together. Come fall in love with Landrum!”

If your downtown business has yet to enter a scarecrow and would like to, email Angel Forrester at aforrester@cblbanklocal.com. Call Landrum City Hall at (864) 457-3000 for more information.
