MILL SPRING–The Professional Bull Riders will make their third visit in three years to Tryon International Equestrian Center for the Iron Peddlers Chute Out on June 23-24.
The PBR Challenger Series event will feature the world’s top bull riders, who will take on some of the most challenging bovine athletes in the sport.
The PBR Challenger Series will hold over 60 events through October, with the championship on October 19 in Las Vegas. This series provides additional competitive opportunities for bull riders affiliated and unaffiliated with a PBR Team Series team.
In 2021, the PBR debuted at TIEC with the Velocity Tour. In 2022, the Original Extreme Sport returned to Tryon International Stadium for the final preseason event for the newly launched PBR Team Series.
The 2023 action starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 23, and 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 24. All 35 competing bull riders will compete in Round 1 on Friday night and Round 2 on Saturday evening. The riders’ two-round scores will be totaled, with the Top 10 advancing to the championship round for one more chance at the event title.
Tickets for the two-day event can be purchased online at tryon.com, Etix.com, and PBR.com.
