The Dark Corner Classic was an automotive enthusiast’s dream, filled with classic American muscle cars and sleek European sports cars, along with sedans, coupes, convertibles and trucks, big and small. The event was for all ages, and visitors were treated to shiny cars, beautiful views, and fun with friends and family.

The car show was sponsored by the City of Landrum, Hare and the Hound, Tiffany Freel State Farm, Keystone Self Storage, Stott’s Ford, Landrum Hardware, Marketsold Realty, Prince Gas, Leroy Maybry Used Cars, Gateway Realty, Geo Crane Service, Orange Bear Motors and Hardin’s Pest Control, with each one giving out a sponsor’s pick award for a car of their choice.

“Despite Mother Nature’s plans with some early morning showers, the 2023 Dark Corner Classic remained on schedule and brought in nearly 150 cars! We are thankful for such a wonderful community event,” said City of Landrum Marketing Director Tricia Taber. “All proceeds of $5,000 from the car show will go towards the Brookwood Park Fund. Our citizens are the heartbeat of our community. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them. We hope that giving back helps make a difference.”

Organizers also thanked the Landrum Police Department, Landrum Fire and Rescue, and Petty Funeral Home for their assistance in helping make this a successful event.
