Letters to the Editor

I am happy to see the revival of the Lenten series of concerts at the Holy Cross church known as “Bach’s Lunch.” I saw a good many friends there as we assembled to hear our own Dr. Beth Child lend her consummate musicianship to a solo piano performance of an all-Bach program.

I am thankful for not only the genius of Bach and Beth’s obvious mastery and enjoyment of his music, but for the invention of musical notation that enables us to hear music of centuries ago performed, instead of just reading about how great it was.

You may enjoy these half-hour programs at noon on Wednesdays until Easter. See you there!
