Thanks to the Bulletin for providing common sense intellect

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

What a collection of letters in the June 10 Tryon Daily Bulletin! A nice, healthy mix of responses to our world, from John Cooper’s “All Lives Matter” to David Hosick’s honest look at white privilege, which made his point so well (and hopefully Mr. Cooper read), to John Wilkins’ praise for Larry McDermott’s latest article.
Mr. Wilkins’ letter beat me to the punch in praising Larry McDermott’s excellent and timely “Life on the Farm” articles. Not only the June 7 publication of “These are the Times that Try Our Souls” mentioned by Mr. Wilkins, which was right on target, but his many well-written and insightful pieces that came before it.

I have kept several TBD issues over the past months so I could also send a positive comment, specifically the March 5 “Longing for Days of Political Normalcy,” March 19’s “Small Food Services Need Our Help,” and the article titled “Reporters Are Not Cheerleaders” on April 2. Each week another column of Mr. McDermott seems worthy of mention.
The Bulletin has some great, folksy and entertaining columns each week, but “Life on the Farm” offers common sense intellect for our reading pleasure. Thank you to the Bulletin for including it in our local paper and thank you to Larry McDermott for sharing your thoughts with us.
